OUR HISTORY

Bodyworks is the brainchild of Michael Nelson, who after completing his Master's Degree in Sports Medicine, saw the need for a different kind of workout facility. One that catered to not only a person's physical well-being, but emotional, mental, and spiritual as well.

Michael is a respected exercise physiologist and is a frequent author and lecturer on the subject of health and fitness. At its core Bodyworks is centered around personal service, personal interaction, personal training, and family. When every consultant, industry magazine, and chain store said that building a family-friendly club with an emphasis on personal training was a death-trap and a money pit, Bodyworks bucks the mold of other health clubs and offers incredible facilities for all members of the family with great service and reasonable prices.
