Personal Training

We are here to DESIGN a program just for you, EDUCATE you in nutrition, strength training and cardiovascular fitness, and MOTIVATE you to achieve the results you desire.  We hold you accountable, tracking your progress weekly by monitoring your weight, body fat percentage, measurements and food logs.

COMMON MYTHS AND FACTS ABOUT TRAINING:

MYTH:  "I can do it on my own."  FACT:  Did you know that the reason why most people who begin an exercise and nutrition program quit within the first 30 days?  Because they aren't seeing results!  Most people aren't knowledgeable enough about cardiovascular fitness, strength training and nutrition to achieve the lasting results they desire.  Your body and metabolism are unique, and a lot goes into making sure you are eating and exercising correctly.  Every person can continually benefit from working with a training professional, in fact, even trainers need trainers!  

MYTH:  "I don't have time."  FACT:  All it takes is strength training with a trainer 2-3x a week for 30 minutes, and 30 minutes of cardio 3-4x a week, to see a total body transformation.  Combine that with a customized nutrition program, designed for your lifestyle needs and you're talking about 2.5 to 3.5 hours a week TOTAL to change the way you look and feel forever! 

MYTH:  "I can't afford it."  FACT:  Everyone can afford personal training!  We work with you and your budget to come up with the right program for you no matter what your financial situation.  Just by learning to eat correctly, you can save hundreds of dollars a month, more than enough to pay for a personalized training program.  Or maybe you want to get off of costly medication or quit smoking, these things cost hundreds of dollars a month and by starting a training program, you can put that money in your pocket!  In fact, you can't afford not too. 

TRAINING PROGRAM:

"So what's included?" During your free consultation, we will assess your personal exercise and nutrition history, goals and needs, and current physical condition.  Some questions we may ask in your initial consultation include; What has prevented you from succeeding in the past?  What are your current eating habits?  Do you have any health concerns or injuries?  During our physical assessment we will test your upper and lower body strength, coordination, balance, cardio fitness and core strength.  After completing your consultation, we will schedule your free orientation and then begin work on creating your customized program!  The next time you see us, we will have your program ready, and we will give you all of the fitness and nutrition tools you will need throughout.  Four components make up a successful training program; Cardiovascular fitness, strength training, nutrition and most importantly a burning DESIRE to change your body and your life. 

CARDIO:  Your cardio program is custom designed and changes constantly to ensure that your body never plateus.  Many factors go into whether or not you see results with your cardio, including; heart rate monitoring, type of machine, settings and programs, incline, distance, speed and time.  You may see initial results with cardio alone, but unfortunately your body adjusts quickly to this type of exercise.  That is where strength training comes in.

STRENGTH TRAINING:  Your strength training program is integral in achieving lasting results, no matter who you are, or what your goals may be.  Strength training with weights reshapes your body, adding lean muscle that helps your metabolism function correctly and burn more calories at rest!  It's also what allows your body to function correctly, making you stronger, more balanced, more flexible and able to perform daily tasks and functions with ease, reducing pain and improving posture.     

NUTRITION:  Food is fuel for your body!  If you are feeling run-down, low on energy and your metabolism is slow, you aren't eating properly.  Nutrition is 70% of the success of any program.  We will reset your metabolism to burn the calories that you put in, so that your body is not storing fat.  You also need the right balance of protein, carbohydrates and healthy fats to ensure that you have sustaining energy and muscle growth.  Depending on your lifestyle, you may not have a lot of time to cook.  That's okay!  We customize your program to fit whatever your nutritional needs are.

DESIRE:  Desire is the starting point in any successful program.  This is all that we ask that you have when you walk through the door to start your program.  A DESIRE to be in control of your body and your life, a DESIRE to have more energy, feel stronger, and live better!  Without desire, you can have the best trainer, the best gym, the best tools to succeed and still find yourself no better than when you started.  So what's your desire?
